Big Play Date/Christmas Party 2009

117 people attended our Sunday, November 29th Family Big Play Date/Christmas Party at Darlington Beach Resort.

Darlington Beach Resort once again outdid themselves, providing additional staff for the day, ensuring everyone had readily available sunscreen (for a very hot day!) and for supplying and cooking up another beautiful Pancake morning tea! Home Ice Cream donated delicious gluten free ice cream to top off those pancakes and also made sure Santa had some wonderful cool treats to hand out to all the kids while Norco Fonterra supplied bottles of juice to keep everyone hydrated. 

The kids enjoyed the fabulous jumping pillows, resort style spa and pools, water slides, pedal trikes, subsidised arcade games, pony rides and the oh-so-cute baby farm animals of Old MacDonald's Farm. Prime Possum made an appearance in the morning, handing out activity books and stickers to all the kids and the jolly man himself, Santa, arrived in the afternoon with lolly bags!

The weather was absolutely PERFECT and many families stayed on to enjoy the pools at the close of the event. Our sincere thanks to all those businesses who supported this event and to the committee members & parents who once again supervised, organised, purchased, collected, cooked, co-ordinated, "adminned" and just generally pulled the whole day together. An impressive undertaking on such a busy weekend. THANK YOU ALL.
