Thanks to all those who took part in the 2008 Autism Awareness Walkathon on Saturday May 17th.
The weather was spectacular, the company as wonderful as always and the BBQ lunch was well-earned.
There were 8 courses to choose from ranging from a level 1.7km stroll up to a more energetic 5.5km with most walkers taking on the long course. Well done!
Our thanks go to Maree Gallagher for her organisation of a very successful event - more than 60 walkers who collected donations of $2400!
Thanks also to Coffs Harbour City Council, Sue Beady at Coffs Harbour Yacht Club, Anne Walton from the Dept. of Environment & Conservation and Tony Watts from the Dept. of Lands for their support in the organisation of this event.
Thanks also to the staff of the NABs Coffs Harbour and Bellingen branches, the Business Banking Centre and North Coast Retail for their attendance. A great contingent of walkers and some talented barbequers, helium balloon fillers and registration table staff. THANK YOU.
MEETINGS
Although meeting times may vary if there are special events/sessions being held, as a general rule of thumb, our Support Group meetings are:
DAY MEETINGS
We meet on the second Tuesday of every month at 10:00am at the Mud Huts, Duke St, Coffs Harbour
(or at Boambee Hall if this day falls during school holidays)
EVENING MEETINGS
We meet on the second Wednesday of every month at 7:00pm at the Community Village (Earl St)
PLEASE NOTE - Evening Meetings now cancelled due to lack of attendees.
COMMITTEE MEETINGS
On the third Monday of each month from 7:30pm. Please contact secretary@coffscoastautism.org.au for venue details

2007 saw some outstandingly successful fundraising events. We would like to thank all those who supported us throughout 2007.
The Behind the Mask of Autism MASQUERADE BALL held on October 6th was a roaring success! The Auctions were fast and furious, the band was amazing and the company was second to none! Thank you to all supporting businesses. Your donations contributed to an unbelieveable total of $21,394.10!

The NAB COFFS COAST AQUATHON held on October 27th was a fantastic effort for an inaugural event. It raised over $3,000 and saw 64 individual and 19 team entries aged from six years upwards.
The sponsors of this event are just too numerous to list but we thank them all whole heartedly with special acknowledgement to the NAB for their ongoing support of our events.

The COFFS HARBOUR INFRASTRUCTURE ALLIANCE CHARITY GOLF DAY held on October 2nd organised by Leightons, Abigroup & John Holland was well attended by their staff and invited guests. They raised over $60,000 which was split between 3 fantastic charities: Coffs Harbour Early Childhood Intervention Program, Life Education and Coffs Coast Autism Parent Support Group.
Our sincere thanks go to these very generous companies and their golfing staff & invited guests. What a fantastic effort!!
